Where to Stay In Bath, England, During Your Boudoir Mini-Break
Divine Divas, Boudoir Photography in Bath - near Bristol, London and Wales
Have you thought about making your Boudoir Photoshoot the excuse you need for a mini-break in Bath?
We are so honoured to say that a lot of our Divas travel from afar for their Boudoir photoshoot with us, and what with Bath being the beautiful destination that it is, it’s a great idea to make a night, or trip, of it! Bring your partner for a memorable romantic getaway, make it a girls trip, or why not just spend a few days in your own company?
Bath is a gorgeous, peaceful place to be - not to mention a World Heritage Site. It is rich with history, with incredible Georgian architecture, and there are so many amazing places to eat and drink. You could go from soaking up the serenity at one of the town’s brilliant spas, enjoying a show at the vibrant Theatre Royal, sipping cocktails in one of the many awesome bars, to viewing the sights of the Bath Abbey or the Roman Baths… all against a golden, elegant backdrop.
Bath, and the studio itself, is all easily reachable from Bristol, London, Wales and further afar and the city prides itself on having some of the best hotels, and B&B’s that you’ll find in the UK.
To make your trip to Bath easy, we’ve put all our recommended accommodation in one blog. All of these suggestions come from personal experience, either from ourselves or from one of our Divas staying there in the past! Enjoy!
Where to Stay in Bath City Centre
(All of these are perfectly located for any Divas looking to enjoy some shopping, eating and drinking!)
A five-star retreat with many spectacular views. Their spa has a blissful sanctuary-like feel, and their restaurant is meant to be brilliant. The building itself has a prestigious history; with more than 250 years of charm and grandeur, they are one of the few landmark buildings in the world where you can actually spend the night. It’s situated on the world-famous Royal Crescent in Bath City Centre and, like a lot of these other recommendations, it is walking distance from some of the best bars and restaurants.

A boutique townhouse hotel in a listed Georgian building on one of Bath’s grandest streets. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bath City Centre AND you’re a fan of Bridgerton, look no further! You’ll definitely recognise the Museum at the end of this street… This hotel is recommended by lots of our Divas; it’s full of colour and quirky, luxury touches, like a record player in every room. You can even enjoy their beautiful spa whilst you’re there. They also offer to meet you from the station and whisk your bags off from you so that you can go explore the city.

Tucked away in a quiet corner, overlooking a lovely park and a five minute walk from Bath’s historic centre, the Roseata Villa is a five-star boutique hotel consisting of two converted, elegant Victorian houses. The Villa includes a parking space for a fee, and you can enjoy an Afternoon Tea whilst you’re there! There’s even a hotel dog (Jaspa our studio dog gives it a paws up for that).

This is a cosy guest house which also comes highly recommended from our Divas. It’s a totally walkable distance from the centre, they give you a parking space for a small fee, and it’s great for families if you’re bringing the whole crew down! The breakfast is meant to be superb also.

This one also comes recommended from our Divas. It’s an award-winning independent Boutique B&B with a focus on stylish, bold decor and their delicious breakfast! They are also very conveniently located - a 7 minute walk away from shops, restaurants etc. It’s also very well-priced for the service provided!

The perfect hotel for convenience and relaxation! It’s designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and is directly opposite the Train Station. It has big, spacious rooms with a Victorian Aesthetic. As one Diva said, “perfect for settling my nerves and trying out my outfits the night before!”. You can also include a trip to Bath Spa as part of your booking.

Z Hotel £
This is less of a luxury option, but it is popular with our Divas for a reason! It is so conveniently located in the centre of Bath and 5 minutes away from a car park. It may be less luxurious, but it’s still a great option with cosy rooms and the hotel itself is in a beautiful building. It’s also directly opposite the Theatre Royal and one of the best wine bars in Bath, Vino Vino (in my opinion anyway!)

Where to Stay Just Outside Bath City Centre
Homewood £££
If you’re looking for luxury and beautiful service, then you’ll love Homewood (as well as Divine Divas!!). As their website says ‘just outside of Bath, this Georgian estate has gone scandalously modern, with a clutch of individually designed rooms, a mod-British restaurant and a spa of its own (in case the 20-minute journey to the Roman baths is too taxing). You’ll feel like the lord or lady of the manor; corsets optional.’ And that about sums it up! A gorgeous, luxury (and pet friendly stay!). You can enjoy their swimming pool and a private hot tub. Perfect for Divas who are in need of a treat, or who want a romantic couple with their loved one!

“The country cousin of media hangout Soho House” - this is a beautiful option in rolling Somerset surroundings. It has a relaxed but totally luxurious and attentive feel. They have everything you could ever want - think gardens, a gym, a library, a 45-seat cinema, a spa, views to a lake, an outdoor infinity pool… A brilliant space to relax before your Divas experience.
Distance From The Studio
30 min drive (it’s 1.5 hours from public transport, so better if you have a car!)
This is about a mile from the studio, and two miles from the centre. A great option for any outdoorsy Divas and a fun stay with kids, or as a couple. They have a Bar and Bistro on site, as well as a gym. They self-describe themselves as a ‘peaceful oasis’ and are great if you’re looking for a bit more space than a hotel can offer, or if you want a self-catered option.
