“I Wanted to Celebrate The Body I Am So Lucky To Have.”

This Diva is a survivor.

Allyson told us she had never felt confident or comfortable with her body but now was her time to love who she is; to stop comparing herself to others and be PROUD of who she saw in the mirror.

This is her story in her words:

“I recently went through treatment for breast cancer - during which my body changed. I have a scar, which although I'm very grateful for as it's a reminder of how lucky I am to be here, became something I was so self conscious of. I was also self conscious of the new shape of my breast and was struggling to shift the weight I had gained during treatment. I felt fat and ugly.

I wanted to fall in love with myself and my body. I wanted to celebrate the body I am so lucky to have.

Being with Divine Divas - it didn’t feel like being with a business, it felt like I was with friends. I was made to feel welcomed, relaxed, comfortable and, most importantly, confident. There was never any pressure.

My advice to anyone? Do it.

I was so nervous on the day I was ready to leave after make up - I am so glad I didn’t.

You won’t regret a thing. Let go of all your inhibitions; no one will laugh or think you’re silly.

I am so glad I pushed against the internal struggle and stripped down to my knickers.  I can't thank the Diva team enough for the new love they have given me towards myself.”

It goes to show - we all have our own story, our own demons and insecurities - but nothing is powerful enough to stop yourself loving who you are.
