A Comprehensive List of ALL of the Studio Props You Can Use…
Props, when used badly, can be gimmicky and cheesy. However, when done well, props are a seamless and natural addition that help tell the story of who you are. On top of that, they can be that little extra thing that complete an outfit and create a vision.
So what kind of prop works? Well, we’ve had Divas bring in everything from a gorgeous ring they were bought on their 21st to a full blown paddleboard… Props can be as unique and as varied as the women who bring them in. If it’s sentimental, if it tells something about who you are or what you love doing, or ties your look together - it’s always a yes from us.
One thing Divas are always keen to know is the props that we have available, so we have finally got round to creating a list of what we have, all of which you’re welcome to use. This list is constantly evolving and changing so if you see something you like, just ask us!
Fun / Dress-Up / Burlesque Vibes
Are you the type of person who has a million anecdotes to tell? Would your best friend give a mischievous laugh and describe you as a ‘lot of fun…’? Do you love the sass, flirtiness and cheekiness of burlesque? Is a fancy dress party your idea of the best night ever?
Well, you may just love these props…
Burlesque fan and feathers: we have a darker pink fan (above), a light pink fan and a gorgeously luxurious peacock feather. Something that oozes sensuality, but also a more fun, cheeky side too.
Masks and long gloves: a dash of fifty shades, alongside a heavy splash of theatricality and drama. We have quite a few masks so if you like the sound of them, please ask to see them!
Top hat and cane: something for the performers out there… Have a look above to see what we mean.
2. Robes, Jackets, Shirts - and a Jumper!
Something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a touch of class, edge or that casual girl next door vibe! Read the list below to find out what we have.
Satin red robe: luxurious, glamorous and classy. Also perfect for if you want to start off in a robe to build your confidence. It’s still sexy and sensual, but gives you some time to work up to letting it slip off the shoulders…
Full length black lace robe: similar to the satin robe, it’s sexy and timeless. The benefit of the lace is that you can see hints of the lingerie or skin underneath…
Fur coat: this can be a very cool look, especially if you dare to bare it all and go topless!
Black leather coat: perfect for anyone fancying a bit of a different look…
White shirt: irresistible and casual, the perfect outfit!
Cosy jumpers: if you’re looking for a more ‘Girl Next Door’ vibe, our oversized jumpers look lush. You can have them hanging just off your shoulders for something intimate but tender.
3. Elegance
Do you want to feel elegant, classy and timeless? If you’re looking for something that captures all of the glamour of Hollywood but also exudes something womanly and sensual, we recommend these!
Pearls: these are a favourite and for a very good reason. Wear these against naked skin, either front or on your back, and the result is something that is just breathe-taking.
Hairbrush, perfume, dressing table: for the most beautiful ‘getting ready’ feel to your photos.
Flowers: we have some peony style flowers that you’re welcome to use!
Mirror: we have both a full length mirror and a dressing table mirror, you can play around with reflections for something either quite candid or deliberately sexy and cheeky.
Phone: for Marilyn Munroe-esque vibes!
4. Kinky
If you’re looking for this experience to express your unashamedly sexual and bold side, we absolutely encourage that and have got a whole array of things for you to explore…
Handcuffs: as you’d imagine!
Ties: if you look at the photos above, you’ll see the grey tie. It can be used as a blindfold or used around the wrists… Whatever takes your fancy!
Riding crop: for those who like being in control…
Rope: for those who like having someone else take control... 🤣
Flogger: brilliant for those intimate silhouette or detail shots.
Chains - black and shiny
Body jewellery: we would love to use these more! Incredibly sexy and would work beautifully in a nude shoot. They have a sparkly harness effect. Very cool.
Water: it might sound weird, but water droplets can look incredibly sexy. We mix together some water and baby oil that works so well. Ask us about it for more info! We can even do a shower shoot to create a steamy, through-the-glass style shoot if you’re interested.
Heat: we can also create an intense, passionate vibe with our lighting and smoke machine…
5. Fabrics
If you’re looking to add colour, texture and creativity then we 100% recommend using fabrics! They can also be really flattering. The ones below are fabrics that we have, but if you’re an artistic person than they can be a great thing to bring in yourself to add vibrancy and pattern.
Burnt orange: there’s something very earthy and womanly about this colour.
Red satin: dramatic, sensual and tactile.
Black satin: a timeless favourite!
Leopard print: perfect for anyone who has fire in their soul and wants to express something fierce!
White sheet: so much can be done with this, whether you’re looking to do a Marilyn Munroe style look or something that makes you feel more like a Greek goddess!
6. High heels!
We have black heels ranging from size 4 to size 8 that you’re welcome to use! They’re a very simple style (to make sure they go with every outfit) and they look fab, but if you’re looking for something more sparkly or a bit different than we recommend bringing your own.
7. Veils
For anyone getting married, we do also have bridal veils.
Yes, you heard right! Wings! Waiting for anyone who wants to feel like an Angel for the day…
